An Overview of Graduate Student Funding Data in SIRIS

The visual below summarizes what data is included in the subject area, and gives a high level overview of how it is joined together. This includes relevant data on graduate students’ plan enrollment and their funding, and creates new data elements related to their awarded aid.

All graduate and professional students in degree granting programs who are Active or on a Leave of Absence. This includes students who have not received any aid in the Graduate Funding System (GFS) but meet the previous criteria.Undergraduates, Post Doctoral Scholars, Non-Matriculated Students, and Graduate Students who are not Active or not on a Leave of Absence.

Data RefreshData is refreshed nightly, except for the Term Census Indicator field, which is updated quarterly.
Limitations

We do not have the data needed to support tasks around unapplied aid or appointment letters at this time. Note that users can utilize the existing BI Reports:

  • PS_GFS008GR Grad Aid Sum by Student
  • PS_GFS009GR Grad Aid Sum for ALL Students

There is also no data in the subject area related to financial aid, accounting, or payroll.

AccessAccess to this subject area requires some additional prerequisites. Users will need to complete the prerequisites to be granted SIRIS authority AND also the prerequisites for GFS reporting. Learn more about access requirements on our access page.
